Patrick Lilley, the original creator of Fruit Machine and promoter Queer Nation (London’s longest running club night and winner of BLGBT Club of The Year Award 2007) has been invited back to Heaven to re-invigorate the Wednesday night slot and launch the first major new gay/polysexual club night at Heaven for several years.
Work! will boast four contrasting scenes and musical policies ranging from 80’s/Electro in The Dakota Bar with DJs on rotation including Dennis Da Silva, Buster Bennett (Nuke Them All), Dean Golden (Foreign), Martin Confusion and DJ Lush (Retro Bar)…to Hip Hop, R&B & Dancehall which will remain the dominant sounds in the Star Bar played by urban maestros Jeffrey Hinton & T Rex augmented by guest DJs Big Jon & DJ Philly (resident DJs of P.Y.T on Sundays at the Ghetto).
Work’s Main Room resident DJs will be Freddie Thomas, Kris Di Angelis and Manny Patel Jnr who will play unapologetic dance party tunes of every genre till dawn.
The Departure Lounge will become an intimate Performance and Cabaret bar with an eclectic disco soundtrack provided the la crème de la crème of London’s social club DJs including Horse Meat Disco DJs Jim Stanton & James Hilliard), the legendary Tallulah (Salon) and the original homo social DJ Stewart Who? Acts and performances in the Departure Lounge will be curated & introduced by microphone star MC Angel.
On the opening night of Work! Wednesday 19th March there will be a Vogueing Dance Battle at 1am on the main dance floor at Heaven to win a £100 cash prize.
